Egis believes that the Ukrainian will be able to exhaust his opponent
Egis Klimasmanager of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Alexandra Usikashared his expectations for the upcoming fight of his ward for the undisputed title against the WBC champion Tyson Fury.
“Usyk is always mentally prepared, he takes every fight seriously. We went through a lot to make this fight happen. Usyk will defeat Fury.”
“I’m sure it won’t be easy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he stops Fury. The reason I say this is because Usyk will wear Fury down and stop him.”
“Fury made a lot of money. He’s not hungry anymore. As Oscar De La Hoya said, “If you have $80 million in your bank account and sleep on silk sheets, it’s not easy to get up at 5 a.m. and run.” Usyk is fighting for his legacy. The money will come. He fights for his country.”
The Usyk-Fury fight will officially take place on February 17. The title of absolute heavyweight champion will be at stake. The event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The special guest of the event will be Lennox Lewis.
The undercard of the Usyk-Fury fight will feature former IBF world cruiserweight champion Jay Opetaya, 19-year-old Moses Ithauma and IBF world super featherweight champion Joe Cordina.
Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
