Kohan placed seventh in the hammer throw final at the 2022 World Championships

Pole Faydek became world champion

Ukrainian hammer thrower Mikhail Kokhan in final of the 2022 World Championships in Athleticswhich takes place in the American Eugene, took seventh place.

In the second attempt, Kohan threw a projectile at 78.83 meters. This is the best result of the season for the Ukrainian. However, in order to climb the podium, Kohan did not have two meters.

Norwegian Eivind Henriksen became the bronze medalist of the World Championship. The first two places were shared by the Poles: Pavel Faydek became the world champion, Wojciech Nowicki won the silver medal.

Note that for Kokhan this is the second world championship in his career – in 2019, Mikhail took fifth place. Last year, the Ukrainian took fourth place at the Tokyo Olympics.
