“What a match you played!”: Perez singled out Lunin after Real’s victory over Getafe

The Ukrainian received special praise from the Blancos president

The president Real Madrid Florentino Perez recognized the high level of play of the Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin in the match of the 20th round of the Spanish championship with Getafe (2:0).

After the match, Perez visited the Blancos locker room and separately praised Lunin, saying that the Ukrainian played a great match.

“What a match you played! Very good,” Spanish media quote Perez’s address to Lunin.

Lunin played his 14th match of the season and managed to keep the goal intact for the sixth time. During the meeting, Andrei made an incredible save, parrying Borja Mayoral’s shot from a lethal position.

With 57 points, Real is the leader in La Liga. Girona of Ukrainians Viktor Tsygankov and Artem Dovbik is two points behind Blancos.

In the next round, Lunin’s team will face a home derby against Atlético Madrid. The game will take place on Sunday, February 4th.
