Athlete Curley wins world championship gold for the first time

American track and field athlete Fred Kerley won first place in the 100 meters at the World Championships in Athletics, which is held in Oregon (USA).

His result was 9.86 seconds. The top three winners included fellow countrymen Marvin Bracey and Trayvon Bromell.

Curly won the 100m at the World Championships for the first time in her career.

Jiangan Wang of China won gold in the long jump with a score of 8.36m. The second place was taken by the Greek athlete Mitidas Tentoglou – 8.32 m. The Swiss Simon Ehammer closed the top three – 8.16m.

The competitions in Oregon will end on July 24.
