European Diving Championship winner Ruslan Ternovoy says the quality of program execution is more important to him as he realizes he scored a high number of points at the Russian Championship.
At the Penza tournament, Ternova, first in “synchronous” on the tower (with Alexander Bondar), then in “individual” exceeded the sum of points with which Chinese athletes won the World Championships in Budapest.
– I quote colleagues – here he is, a real world champion. How do you rate these matchup comparisons?
– The amount of points I have is really big, more than (the Chinese) at the World Championships. There I would have won with such a sum, but on the other hand, who knows how it would have happened there. I’m just glad everything went well – the best jump and the best point total.
There are always gaps, a jump was a bit blurry, but overall it was stable. Probably one of my best attempts. In general, I’m really satisfied,” Ternovoy told .
