For the first time in history, Ukraine competed with two skeleton athletes at the European Championships

Vladislav Geraskevich became 11th at the continental championship, Yaroslav Lavrenyuk – 23rd

Ukraine for the first time in history performed with two athletes on European Skeleton Championships.

Vladislav Geraskevich And Yaroslav Lavrenyuk represented the blue-yellows at competitions in the Latvian Sigulda. The event was held as a stage of the Skeleton World Cup, within which the European championship was played.

Geraskevich showed the 15th result among all athletes in the first race. In the second attempt, the Ukrainian set the 13th time. Vladislav took the final 14th place at the World Cup, and 11th at the European Championship.

Lavrenyuk made his debut at the European Championship. Yaroslav took 23rd place at the 2024 European Championships, 35th in the World Cup standings.

The next stage of the Skeleton World Cup will be held in Altenberg, Germany on February 16. This will be followed by the World Championships in Winterberg on 22 February.
