Mikhail finished seventh in the final.
Ukrainian hammer thrower Mikhail Kokhan commented on his speech final of the 2022 World Championships in Athletics.
“Overall ok [прошло выступление]but not as planned. 78.83 m is my best result of the season. All in all, I’m happy with it, but it’s still not my personal best.”
“We were preparing the peak of form for the World Cup, but something didn’t go very well in terms of the result. I felt fine at the beginning of June. But I’m not complaining. It’s okay, we’re going according to plan. Even my personal record would not be in the medals now. I think I’m less upset by those who finished fourth and fifth.”
In the final performance, Kohan placed seventh. Two meters separated the Ukrainian athlete from the three medalists.
For Kokhan, this was the second world championship in his career – in 2019, Mikhail took fifth place. Last year, the Ukrainian took fourth place at the Tokyo Olympics.
