Skater coach Vladislav Dikidji Oleg Tataurov told the details of the attack on the athlete in the metro.
On Friday, Dikiji, 19, reported being attacked by a man armed with a knife on the subway. The skater also said he would write a statement to the police.
“A man of about sixty and not entirely comfortable sat opposite, then he pulled Vlad by the backpack, and when he got up, he put a knife under him the throat. Vlad pushed him away and jumped out of the car. I didn’t understand anything myself. If this person thus wanted to show that Vlad had to give up his place to someone, then no one stood nearby – neither with children, nor in old age. Vlad told me that he would now go to the police to give explanations and then, perhaps, this man would be intercepted,” Tataurov was quoted as saying by RT.
This season, Dikidzhi won two stages of the Russian Grand Prix and took silver at the national championship, losing only to Evgeniy Semenenko.
