The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has granted neutral status to four Russian trampoline athletes, according to the FIG website.
Yana Lebedeva, Angela Bladtseva, Kirill Kozlov and Danila Kasimov were granted neutral status.
Trampoline jumping is an Olympic sport. Most of the quotas for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were allocated during the 2023 World Championships, but trampoline athletes still have the opportunity to qualify for competition via the World Cup up to and including April 2024. According to the registration sheet published on the FIG website, the four Russians have already been added to the number of participants in the KM stage in Baku, which will be held from February 23 to 25.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on December 8 that it would allow Russian and Belarusian athletes who successfully qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics to have individual neutral status. Russian athletes will be able to perform in Paris without a flag, anthem and other national symbols. The IOC banned the participation of athletes associated with security forces or who have expressed support for the SVO, as well as participation in team sports.
The Paris Summer Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
