Russian diver Maria Bruenok told that she was not going to go to law enforcement with accusations of harassment against her coach.
Earlier, 19-year-old Bruenok told Metaratings.ru that she was sexually harassed by the coach of the Russian national diving team, Pavel Muyakin. The 61-year-old specialist invited Bruenok to his room, where he wanted to discuss the athlete’s training process, and then kissed her. The Russian Diving Federation told it had created a commission to conduct an independent investigation; Muyakin called Bruenok’s accusations unfounded.
“I will not contact law enforcement; initially such a goal was not set.” The Federation is investigating, he is suspended, I think that will be enough,” Bruenok told .
