Russian divers refused to participate in the Paris Olympic Games in neutral status. Previously, the President of the Russian Diving Federation, Stanislav Druzhinin, wrote about it on his Telegram channel.

– Playing without an anthem, without a flag, we’ve already done it, it’s not the same. So I will follow diving at the Games, it’s a sport that I love. Wouldn’t that be hard to watch, knowing we could have been there? I can not do anything about it. I’m already used to what it’s like.

Of course, I would like to compete, to perform on the international stage, but until they give us affordable options, we will not be competitive. I’ve already let go of the Tokyo situation. I believe I will still be able to perform at the Olympics,” Schleicher said, as quoted by Metaratings.ru.

The Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
