Fraser-Pryce covered the 100m in 10.67 seconds, a new world championship record. Compatriots Shelley-Ann Sherika Jackson (10.73 s) and Elaine Thompson-Hera (10.81 s) occupy the second and third places.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pry is a three-time Olympic champion (2008, 2012 – 100m; 2020 – 4x100m relay) and nine-time world champion (2009 – 100m, 4x100m relay; 2013 – 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay m; 2015 – 100m, 4x100m relay; 2019 – 100m, 4x100m relay).
