Jamaican runners take full 100m podium at 2022 World Championships in Athletics

Double Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce from Jamaica won the 100 meters at the World Championships in Athletics, which takes place in Eugene (USA).

Fraser-Pryce covered the distance in 10.67 seconds, setting a world championship record. The 35-year-old athlete has become a five-time world champion in this discipline. The second and third results were shown by his compatriots – Sherika Jackson (10.73) and Elaine Thompson-Hera (10.81), respectively.

Tokyo Olympic champion, American Cathy Neijott, won the pole vault with a score of 4.85m. Sandy Morris also conquered this height, but she lost to her compatriot in additional indicators. Bronze went to Australian Nina Kennedy (4.80).

The American world championship will end on July 24.
