Athletistic/ Figure skating. Figure skater Kamila Valieva will not perform at the Spartakiad of the Strongest in Magnitogorsk from February 16 to 18, SE reports.
This tournament was the first on Valieva’s calendar after the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne on a disqualification for four years.
The decision to disqualify the athlete was taken by the CAS on January 29. It will last until December 2025.
Valieva is prohibited from participating in competitions.
Russian figure skaters have not participated in international competitions since February 2022.
