The European and world champion in powerlifting (powerlifting) died in the war against the Russian occupiers. Alexander Bilokon.

Alexander was 32 years old. He was mobilized in March 2023.

Bilokon, as reported by the President of the Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation of Ukraine Vadim Kisil, back in 2017 set the Ukrainian record for moving a tractor with a trailer filled with people by a person, and in 2020 he was awarded the title of Master of Sports in heroic games.

Various representatives of Ukrainian sports continue to die in the war with the Russian occupiers. Let us remind you that at the end of January, the formerly famous football player, Dynamo graduate Sergei Rozhk, passed away.

Early in the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia fired rockets and aerial bombardment of most Ukrainian cities, and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia has continued for the 711th day.
