Athletistic / Others. The head of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), Witold Banka, spoke about the possible participation of Russians in the 2024 Olympic Games in neutral status. Previously, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed Russians to have neutral status if a certain number of criteria were met.

Since then, a fierce debate has taken place in Russia about the advisability of participating in the Olympic Games in such conditions.

Irina Viner spoke about the developments in the case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding her suspension

Banka admitted that the delegation of neutral Russian athletes was unlikely to be large.

“The group of so-called neutral athletes will be very limited, if they come to the Paris Olympic Games, given that the Russians are boycotting the conditions and criteria for neutrality proposed by the IOC. A restricted circle of athletes who meet the criteria of the CIO will perform at the Olympics,” he said, according to Banka RMF FM.
