The new agreement runs until the end of 2028
Miner announced the signing of a new contract with the young midfielder Viktor Tsukanov.
The midfielder entered into an agreement with the Donetsk club until the end of December 2028. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tsukanov has been in Shakhtar’s system since 2019. This season he has played 19 matches and scored seven goals for Shakhtar U-19 in all competitions. The midfielder is also a player in the Ukrainian youth team.
Now Tsukanov is at the training camp of Shakhtar’s first team in Turkey. In four control games, the 18-year-old midfielder scored three goals.
Previously, the Donetsk club acquired two Brazilians – winger Kevin and center Marlon Gomez. The Miners recently signed central defender Luka Latsabidze. In addition, Shakhtar re-signed agreements with midfielders Georgy Sudakov and Oleg Ocheretko.
Last fall, Shakhtar took third place in Group H of the Champions League. Marino Pusic’s team will play in the 1/16 of the Europa League, where its opponent will be Marseille. In the Ukrainian Championship, the Miners are in fourth place, three points behind the leaders, but with two matches in hand.
