On the last day of the 2022 World Games, Ukraine won six medals and finished in the top 3 of the medal standings

Our athletes won a record number of medals and a record amount of gold

On the last day World Games 2022held in the American Birmingham, Ukrainians won six medalsthree of which are gold.

Ukrainians won five medals at once in Thai boxing (Muay Thai). For the second time in a row, Igor Lyubchenko (weight up to 63.5 kg) and Oleg Primachev (up to 91 kg) became the champions of the World Games. In women, gold was won by Anastasia Kulinich (up to 48 kg).

Also in Muay Thai, Alexander Efimenko, who won silver (up to 71 kg), and Vladislav Nikitas, who received bronze (up to 57 kg), distinguished themselves with awards.

In sports acrobatics, the Ukrainian men’s team (Stanislav Kukuruza, Yuriy Savka, Yuriy Push, Taras Yarush) won a bronze medal in group exercises.

According to the results of ten competitive days, the Ukrainians won 45 medals (16 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze) and took third place in the medal standings. In Birmingham, Ukraine broke its own World Games record for the number of medals and gold.
