Director General of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Alexander Kogan designated Saransk as an important city for national figure skating.
The Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships will take place from February 6 to 8 in the capital of Mordovia.
“On behalf of the federation, I am very happy to welcome you to this magnificent theater. I hope you can provide the same wonderful moments to all the spectators on the ice. Saransk is an amazing city, an important city for figure skating. Many years ago, Piseev introduced figure skating to Mordovia.
I am grateful to the leadership of the Republic, the leadership of the regional federation. With all my heart I wish all athletes incredible performances on the ice of Saransk,” Kogan said during the tournament draw.
