De Rossi’s team won a third victory in a row and moved up to fifth place in Serie A
Roma in my field I calmly dealt with Cagliari in the final match of the 23rd round of the Italian Serie A – 4:0.
Already in the 2nd minute the scoring was opened – Lorenzo Pellegrini figured out the other goalkeeper’s goal after a corner and clumsy play by Andrea Petagna. In the middle of the half, the hosts succeeded in an aesthetic counterattack, which was capped by Paulo Dybala.
At the start of the second half, the Giallorossi brought the score to an indecent level. First, Dybala scored a double from the penalty spot after Petagna’s handball. And then his debut goal at the senior level was scored by 18-year-old defender Dean Hasen, whom Roma loaned from Juventus in January.
Under Daniel De Rossi, the Romans have so far gone without losses – three wins in a row, and are already in fifth place in the table. Wolves are a point behind Atalanta, but have played a match more. Cagliari remained in the relegation zone with 18 points.
In the next round on February 10, Roma will host the leader – Inter Milan. Cagliari will play at home with another capital club – Lazio.
