Earlier, Tarasova told that she and the rest of the passengers had to stay on the plane for a long time after arriving in Saransk, because the plane left the runway and ended up in a snowdrift. There were 87 passengers on board, including coach Svetlana Sokolovskaya, world and European pair skating champion Alexei Tikhonov. The Russian junior figure skating championship will take place in Saransk, where the passengers of this flight arrived.
