Today, about 30 students of all ages attend classes.
Last year, the Favbet Foundation launched an initiative “Strong together”within the framework of which he financed the opening of several free sections for Ukrainian children in football, basketball, wrestling and boxing.
You can join the free boxing and wrestling section in Kyiv by calling the administration of the SpartaBox club by phone +380631542910.
Boxing and wrestling groups in the Kiev fight club SpartaBox were among the first to recruit students and begin training a little more than six months ago. Today, about 30 students of all ages attend classes.
Experienced trainers teach children. Wrestling coach Renat Akhmedkhanov is a freestyle wrestler and Master of Sports of Ukraine in freestyle wrestling.
Boxing coach Vladimir Cherny is the vice-champion of Ukraine among the elite and a prize-winner of international tournaments, who has more than 30 years of coaching experience. Before the start of the full-scale invasion, he was a senior coach in one of the institutions of higher education in the Kherson region in boxing among youths, but due to the occupation of Kherson he was forced to move to Kyiv, where he continues to pass on his experience to youth.
According to Vladimir, at this stage of preparation he pays more attention to general physical training, defensive actions, movement and work in pairs.
“I really enjoy working with children. In addition to teaching basic boxing skills, I try to instill mental toughness, discipline and responsibility in them. These are qualities that will be useful to them in life, regardless of what they do in the future. I am pleased that thanks to the support of the Favbet Foundation, even more Ukrainian children can discover the beauty of boxing and nurture their athletic abilities,” says the coach.
“Strong Together” is part of a large project Favbet Foundation called “Superheroes Club”, which unites several educational and sports initiatives for children from IDP families and military personnel, as well as socially vulnerable groups. This includes providing thousands of schoolchildren with office supplies, and an extensive program of basic IT education, which involves children and teenagers from all over Ukraine.
“Today the fund’s priority is to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and provide our soldiers with everything necessary for resistance – cars, drones, high-tech equipment. However, we also remain committed to the primary goals of the Favbet Foundation – creating opportunities for the comprehensive development of Ukrainian youth. That is why the volume of activities of the Superheroes Club will only grow, so that even more children can discover their superpowers to create a successful future,” said Evgeniy Bondar, curator of Favbet Foundation projects.
