The forward was not included in the Miners’ squad for the Europa League playoffs
Attack Shakhtar Bogdan Vyunnik did not come to the team’s training camp in Turkey. The miners confirmed that the player is absent from the camp of Marino Pusic’s charges in Belek.
It is reported that the forward refuses to train with Shakhtar and wants to break his contract. He motivates his desire with worries about the war in Ukraine. The player is trying to find a new team on his own and does not respond to calls from the Gornyaki management to come to the club’s location.
Vyunnik posted photos from Saudi Arabia on social networks. In particular, the footballer attended the Al-Nasr match, which is coached by ex-Miners coach Luis Castro.
In the autumn part of the season, Bogdan played six matches for Shakhtar in all tournaments. The forward has one goal and two assists.
At the Turkish training camp, Shakhtar defeated the Armenian Pyunik (2:0), the Polish Lech (3:1) and drew with the Slovenian Maribor (0:0). At the beginning of February, the Miners lost to the Czech Hradec Kralove (0:2) and Velež from Bosnia and Herzegovina (2:3). On February 8, Pusic’s team will play the final winter matches with the champion of Turkmenistan Arkadag and Polish Lechia.
Shakhtar will play its next official match in the 1/16 finals of the Europa League with Marseille. The first meeting will take place on February 15 in Hamburg.
