Russian law enforcement officers checked the environment of the Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva at the request of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) and did not establish the fact of incitement to the use of prohibited substances, according to a press release from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
On Wednesday, the CAS published the reasons for Valieva’s case.
— Law enforcement agencies, at the request of RUSADA (dated February 17, 2022), also carried out an inspection of the athlete’s personnel, which did not establish the fact of inclination. [к допингу] or the use of prohibited substances and methods by the athlete’s personnel, about which RUSADA was informed by a response letter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the press release states.
Previously, the CAS disqualified Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules and canceled her competition results from December 25, 2021.
