Triple Olympic medalist in swimming Yulia Efimova reported to that she will hold a month-long training camp at a sports center in Hawaii, where there is a 50-meter swimming pool.
Efimova returned to competitions last fall after a two-year hiatus. The swimmer won three medals at the Russian Short Course Championships in November.
—Why Hawaii, and not, say, Los Angeles?
– Because it’s cold in Los Angeles!
– But seriously?
— The most important thing is that there is a classic-sized pool for long-distance competitions. In Los Angeles, it’s hard to find a 50-meter pool now because everyone is training there in classes and colleges are still in season. And in Hawaii, there is a real swimming pool. It’s hot here, it’s nice, that’s why I went there for a month.
— Is it true that Hawaii is even cheaper than Los Angeles?
“No, everything is much more expensive,” Efimova told .
