Dance duet of figure skaters Kolomenskaya/Frolov on silver in the junior Chechen Republic: “We always dreamed of getting on the podium. It’s hard to believe”

Figure skater Egor Frolov, who practices ice dancing with Anna Kolomenskaya, admitted that he always dreamed of getting on the podium at the Russian championship.

At the Russian Junior Championships in Saransk, the duo scored 180.7 points for two programs and won silver in the tournament.

— It took a long time to get to this point. I always dreamed of getting on the podium. Last junior season and good results. It’s hard to believe,” reports a correspondent.

— It was very exciting. When you sit for that long, it seems like everything… The difference was very minimal after the rhythm dance. Two years ago, we were 13th in the championship. I would like to say a huge thank you to the coaches for believing and working with us. We had a lot of difficulties, but for some, everything works out right away. How will we celebrate? Let’s sleep and eat (laughs), said Kolomenskaya.
