According to the Russian Investigative Committee for the Leningrad Region, Konev died from a gunshot wound to the head. A criminal case has been opened.
“On February 7, 2024, on the territory of the Nevsky training ground in the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region, near the shooting targets, the body of the president of the St. Petersburg Karate Sports Federation, which was also a shooting coach, was found with a gunshot wound to the head,” the report states.
