First Vice-President of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) Irina Privalova reported that coach Svetlana Abramova left all her positions due to the fact that her main student ended her career. Angelique Sidorova Abramova had no conflicts with anyone.

In December, Sidorova, 32, announced her retirement. At the same time, Abramova announced that she had left her positions as head coach of the Russian national athletics team, presidium and coaching council of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF). At the same time, Sidorova noted in her farewell message on the Telegram channel: “I will probably keep silent about the attitude towards my coach in recent years from the leadership of our athletics. It’s simply indecent.”

“She was part of the presidium and the coaching council, but these were not positions that brought money, it was just work in advisory bodies. She has also worked as a senior pole coach, but that’s not a place at ARAF, it’s a position at Central Sports Club. Her contract was over, and as Angélique had finished, it was not renewed, there was no conflict. As far as I know, she is now focusing on opening her own specialized center for training pole vaulters at the GTSOLIFK Sports University. Svetlana is a great specialist, she will never be left without work, ”Privalova told the correspondent.
