FIG grants neutral status to three Russian trampoline coaches

The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has granted neutrality status to three Russian trampoline coaches, according to the FIG website.

Natalya Lebedeva, Elena Fedorenchik and Alexey Ryzhkov received neutral status.

Previously, Russian trampoline athletes Yana Lebedeva, Angela Bladtseva, Kirill Kozlov and Danila Kasimov received permission from the FIG to participate in international competitions without national symbols. The athletes will participate in the World Cup in Baku, which will be held from February 23 to 25. They still have the possibility of qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games through the World Cup until April 2024 inclusive.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on December 8 that it would allow Russian and Belarusian athletes who successfully qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics to have individual neutral status. Russian athletes will be able to perform in Paris without a flag, anthem and other national symbols. The IOC banned the participation of athletes associated with security forces or who have expressed support for the SVO, as well as participation in team sports.

The Paris Summer Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
