“You cannot become Olympic champion, the most important thing is to stay kind and be happy” – figure skater Makhnonosov

Russian figure skater Ivan Makhnonosov in an interview with , he said he set his sights on preserving humanity.

Makhnonosov plays with Ekaterina Rybakova. At the Russian Junior Championships in Saransk, the duo scored 186.40 points in two programs and won gold medals.

— Do you have a goal set for yourself?

— Is it more important than becoming an Olympic champion?

— Yes, it is important to become winner of the Games, but above all you have to be happy. I think our coaches feel the same way.

There are many examples of people who did not become winners of the Games, but found themselves in another field: they became coaches and trained wonderful athletes with whom it would be an honor to compete,” Makhnonosov told .
