“I expect the match to be tough. Dynamo don’t have the potential right now, looking at the latest matches. Fenerbahce is buying more players, and many of the Kyivans have not yet gained the desired shape. Therefore, there is tension before the match. I think Lucescu is not sure who will play – he has not decided on the line-up. If the team does not have integrity, then everyone should work in full, but Dynamo now has half of the team missing, ”Salenko said.
“Fenerbahce can be called the favorite of the first match, but if Mircea Lucescu can use what is defensive tactics and counterattacking, then the chances will be equal. It is not yet clear who will play what position. Last matches have added ambiguity in this regard.
“The people of Kiev do not yet have such a striker who can be put on the cutting edge. I won’t be surprised if Lucescu puts Garmash ahead. Besedin can cling, but does not continue the game further. Supryaga used to fail everything. Perhaps Vanat can play – he is gaining form.
“Yarmolenko has made his choice. If Dynamo doesn’t qualify for the Champions League and plays only in our championship or in the Europa League, this is not quite a level for the Ukrainian team. In my opinion, he had to accept an offer in the Premier League, although the amount of the contract was halved. I hope that Andrei will play calmly in Al Ain. I don’t think that he would significantly strengthen Dynamo now – that’s for sure.”
“There is a lot of talk about interest in Tsygankov, Buyalsky and Shaparenko, but the clubs understand that now they are not in the shape to invite them. The money that they want for them does not correspond to the game that we have. In order for them to “light up”, you need to go to the Champions League or at least the Europa League. The national team will not play serious matches in the near future.”
Recall that in the last sparring in preparation for the match of the second round of the Champions League qualification against Fenerbahce, Dynamo lost to Antwerp (1:2).
Dynamo and Fenerbahce will play in Lodz (July 20) and Istanbul (July 27).
