Figure skaters Stepanova and Bukin talk about their trip to China: “We restarted and arrived at the Spartakiad more calmly”

Winners of the European Figure Skating Championships Alexandra Stepanova And Ivan Boukine who practices ice dancing, said the trip to the China show helped them approach the Spartakiad of the Strongest with the right attitude and in the right form.

In January, the athletes took part in a show with the participation of Russian figure skating legends in China. On Friday, Stepanova and Bukin received 90.06 points in rhythm dance at the Spartakiad in Magnitogorsk. The couples will perform their free dance on February 17.

– You know, I just want to say how we worked. We spent a lot of time on the ice working closely together. This is a good indicator, we are not standing still. I want to work further, get even more points, so that they are spent not on past achievements, but on future and current ones.

— How do you like to play in China?

— China has always been like that for us: competition, a different attitude. Now we have discovered a slightly different China, we can walk around peacefully and enjoy their culture. The tour was very interesting, the six concerts were positive. We restarted and arrived at Spartakiad more calmly,” reports the correspondent of , reporting Bukin’s words.

“We had a breath of fresh air.” It’s nice to go see a show abroad, we really miss the foreign audiences, they accepted us like never before. It was very hot, it energized us.
