“Now he lives thinking about what he lacks” – Goncharenko about Aliyev’s words about motivation

Russia’s Honored Coach Inna Goncharenko told that the skater Dmitry Aliyev lives in the thought of the absence of international departures.

Earlier, Aliyev said he lacked dynamism and spirit during Russian national competitions.

“It’s difficult to overcome that in yourself, he’s already an accomplished athlete. He actively participated in international competitions, which constituted motivation, a part of life. Now he lives thinking about what he lacks. You can turn the situation around, he’s a man, an athlete. Plus, it’s the end of the season, fatigue has accumulated, skaters are emotional people,” Goncharenko told .

At the Spartakiad of the Strongest, Aliyev received 88.99 points for the short program, taking eighth place. The men will present their free program on February 17.
