Yaroslava Maguchy presented the medal won at the World Championships in Ukraine, resisting the military aggression of Kremlin troops. This athlete said after the end of the high jump competition in American Eugene.
In addition, the athlete said he was tired of living homelessly and really wanted to return to his homeland.
“I enjoyed these competitions. I enjoyed the jump and all the negativity was removed from my mind.
And when I received the medal on the pedestal and saw our banner at the top, I thought I really wanted to go home, like before.
After the competition, you arrive at the airport, you are greeted by relatives, journalists, and now I like it too. I believe that is near. But for now, we continue to practice, perform and show great results.
In fact, you jump not only for yourself, but also for people. I always say that my achievements are for our Ukrainians, this medal of mine is for all Ukrainians, for all soldiers, for the whole of Ukraine, ”said Maguchy Suspilne Sport.
Recall that Maguchy won silver at the 2022 World Cup in the high jump, another Ukrainian Irina Gerashchenko came in fourth.
