Athletistic/Wrestling. Russian wrestlers took fourth place in the overall medal standings at the European Wrestling Championships held in Romania.

Competing as neutral athletes, the Russian team won 3 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals.

The leader in the medal standings was the Turkish team, with 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals. The second place was won by wrestlers from Azerbaijan (5-3-4) and the third place was taken by the Armenian team (4-0-2).

The gold medals of the Russian team were won by free wrestlers Abasgadzhi Magomedov (up to 61 kg) and Akhmed Usmanov (up to 79 kg), as well as the representative of Greco-Roman wrestling Sergei Semyonov (up to 130 kg).
