Figure skater Ksenia Sinitsyna After performing at the Spartakiad, the strongest said that due to the lack of international competitions, not all athletes remain motivated to skate.

— I am 80% satisfied with myself. Some things worked, but others didn’t work very well. Overall everything is fine, I’m happy. I was very happy with the grades. Thank you all for your support, good start.

— Can you imagine this at the start of the season?

— I worked a lot, there were such performances. In September, there was a not very pleasant moment that dragged me down. But that’s how it happened.

— Don’t you think your work is better appreciated?

– It’s true. There are no international competitions, the number of athletes has decreased. Not everyone has the motivation to ride, but I love it. I’m just happy to skate.

— Your programs have changed radically.

– I have become more mature. I went into a slightly different style and dreamed of an incendiary program. The coaches heard me and we did it, ”reports the correspondent of , reporting Sinitsina’s words.

In February 2022, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that sports federations not allow Russians and Belarusians to participate in international tournaments. Later, the recommendations were relaxed and in December 2023, IOC head Thomas Bach announced that the organization would allow Russian and Belarusian athletes who passed the selection process for the 2024 Summer Olympics into a status individual neutral.
