President of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation Olga Brusnikina told that the junior team usually trains in the building of the synchronized pool at the federal base in Novogorsk, but at present training does not take place there.

On Monday, the Russian Sports Ministry announced that the roof of the building where the swimming pool is located had collapsed, but that there were no injuries. Emergency work is being carried out, there is no threat to the health or life of athletes or base personnel.
