Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova said that the crowded Magnitogorsk Palace during the figure skating competition became for her the most striking impression of the Spartakiad of the Strongest.
Figure skating competitions within the framework of the Spartakiad took place from February 16 to 18 in Magnitogorsk.
— What impressed you at Spartakiad?
“For me, the most striking impression is that of the palace full of people. No feeling is forgotten. It is a great achievement that our people love figure skating so much that there are no tickets.
All participants skated either very well or amazingly. And the first names in Russian figure skating skated simply brilliantly.
— Could the Spartakiad replace the world tournaments?
– Nothing can be replaced. But I think our federation made a very wise decision regarding the competition: skaters are busy all year round with interesting Russian competitions. And there is no need to talk nonsense about the lack of competition among world athletes. Everyone knows perfectly well that we are disqualified. And there is no need to harass this topic, ”Tarasova is quoted in Sport24.
