Athletistic/Figure skating. Three-time Olympic champion and deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Irina Rodnina said in an interview with Match TV that figure skater Alexander Samarin did not leave any lasting impression on her.

On Saturday, Samarin announced his retirement after participating in the free program of the Spartakiad of the Strongest. In Magnitogorsk he took last place.

“As for my impressions of Samarin, I try to remember, but it seems that I don’t remember him at all,” Rodnina told Match TV.

Samarin is 25 years old and at the 2019 European Championships he won a silver medal in single skating, and at the 2019 World Team Championships he became a bronze medalist.
