“In accordance with the civil procedure legislation, the court does not have the right to carry out tracing activities, but it obliged us to trace the contacts of the accused and inform him of the development of the case and court decisions. This has been done in full, as confirmed by postal notifications, including two summons for court hearings, as well as all correspondence, including telephone calls and emails from me . The whole process is also reflected on the website of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Moscow. Despite the difficulties in international communication, everything was done in compliance with the law, otherwise the court would have dismissed the case. After the publication of the reasoned part of the decision of the Nikulinsky District Court, I hope that this will dispel the doubts of the accused about my statements and raise questions about the reliability of the results of my research, ”Shvetsky said.
He also commented on his work researching evidence on issues related to Russian sports over the past few years.
“Hajo Seppelt can maintain his opinion, and this is his right. In two years, I managed to find evidence and establish facts on all issues concerning me and concerning Russian sport since 2006 (the year of the first attack on Russian sport, the year of birth of Kamila Valieva, who in 15 years became the crown of this unsportsmanlike struggle),” Shvetsky added.
Earlier, Seppelt said he would not respond to the court’s decision in the defamation case against Shvetsky.
