Paralympic champion Terentyev responded positively to the allocation of quotas to Russian swimmers for the Games

State Duma deputy and Paralympic champion Mikhail Terentyev told that he has a positive attitude towards the potential performances of Russian swimmers at the Paris Paralympics.

Earlier, the head coach of the Russian Paralympic swimming team, Yuri Nazarenko, told that the swimming committee of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) granted Russian athletes 42 quotas to participate in swimming competitions at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

— I always have a positive attitude towards the fact that our athletes can participate in international competitions. I don’t know all the nuances, under what conditions these quotas were granted and to what extent this decision complies with sporting principles,” Terentyev told .

In September 2023, the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) suspended RPC membership until further notice, but Russians were allowed to participate in the Paris Paralympic Games in neutral status.

The Summer Paralympic Games will be held in the French capital from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
