Athletistic/ Figure skating. The head of Sambo-70, Renat Laishev, responded to the situation with figure skater Kamila Valieva.
Previously, the athlete was disqualified for 4 years for violation of anti-doping rules.
“Everyone will be waiting for her. Kamila has enough strength to cope with everything. Valieva’s status as one of the best figure skaters in history cannot be taken away from her,” Laishev told RB Sport.
Valieva will be able to return to the ice after disqualification no earlier than December 2025.
Since February 2022, Russian figure skaters have been suspended from international competitions.
