This was said by the President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation Vladimir Salnikov. He also named prize money for the swimmers, as despite the lack of international starts, they are having a rather busy season:
– We have identified two clusters for ourselves – summer and winter. The Russian Championship plus the stages of the Friendship Games, in winter also the Russian Championship (short water), the stage of the Friendship Games, plus the Cup of my name. Thank you to our Supervisory Board and Presidium. An impressive amount, about 40 million rubles, was allocated to the prize money for these departures. It will be paid to athletes and coaches based on the results of all these competitions.
As part of the first stage of the Friendship Games, the Russian Cup final will be held – the prize for the winning team on this occasion was updated and presented separately a week before departure to Kazan.
In the capital of Tatarstan this week we will not see Andrey Minakov, Yulia Efimova, Vladimir Morozov – the logistics of the United States, where they are currently training, are not easy.
