Both newcomers spent the first half of the season in the UPL, but left their clubs in December
SK Poltava officially replenished with two experienced newcomers. The 30-year-old midfielder signed a contract with the club Vladimir Odaryukwho recently left Minayaand his peer, striker Maxim Marusichpreviously advocated Veres.
Both football players are natives of Poltava and students of Vorskla, where they began their professional career. Odaryuk, in addition to the Poltava club, also played for Gornyak-Sport, Nikolaev, Alexandria and Ingulets. In the first half of this season, Vladimir played 15 matches in the UPL for Minaj, who left in December.
After Vorskla, Marusich played for Karpaty and Gornchk-Sport, after which he traveled around the world: Lithuanian Jonava and Riteriai, Latvian RFS and Jelgava, Kazakh Caspian. In 2022, he returned to Ukraine and played for Inhulets and Veres. In the 2023/24 season, he played 13 matches in the UPL and scored two assists. In December he became a free agent.
Poltava took fifth place in Group B of the First League and will fight for promotion in the spring. The base date for the next tour is March 23.
