Football and basketball in Kyiv: free sections with the support of the Favbet Foundation

Currently, more than 40 children attend classes at the Center.

Popular sports are becoming more accessible for Ukrainian children thanks to the Favbet Foundation. As part of the “Stronger Together” initiative, the charitable foundation financed several free sports sections in Kyiv, open to children of military personnel and internally displaced persons.

Among the first to start operating last year were football and basketball sections at the Sports for All Center for Physical Health of the Population, which is located in the Desnyansky district of the capital.

Currently, more than 40 children attend classes at the Center. Football skills of young Ukrainians are taught here by Andrey Muzychenko, the senior coach of FC “Vygurovshchyna” and an experienced teacher.

“The Favbet Foundation initiative gives children the opportunity for comprehensive development. Children can not only learn to play their favorite game and grow physically, but also develop as individuals, work and interact as a team to achieve common goals. “Stronger together” a wonderful project that invests in the future of our children”says Andrey.

Students of the Center practice basketball under the guidance of Tatyana Shablinskaya, a professional basketball coach, master of sports, and multiple champion of Ukraine, who in the past represented our country in competitions as part of the national team.

“Free sections from the Favbet Foundation are a unique project that attracts children to physical activity and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. At this difficult time for the country, it provides an opportunity for psychological reboot and physical recovery,” says Tatyana.

“Stronger Together” is part of a large project Favbet Foundation called “Superheroes Club”, which reveals the superpowers of Ukrainian children. In addition to sports, the Club also has two educational directions: “IT Kids” and “Power in Knowledge.” The first is dedicated to teaching children basic programming skills, and the second is to provide schoolchildren with all the necessary equipment for learning and creativity.
