The diuretic hydrochlorothiazide was found in his system. The sample was taken by RUSADA in 2021. Currently, the athlete is temporarily suspended from participation in competitions.
Asanov’s last official start was in January 2021. In June of the same year, Asanov received neutral status from World Athletics and could qualify for the Russian team for the Tokyo Olympics.
