“Kun” retired in 2021 due to health problems
Famous Argentine striker Sergio Aguero has the opportunity to return to the professional level.
The player was forced to hang up his boots due to pathological tachycardia. Sergio has not been on the field since the end of October 2021, when he became ill during Barcelona’s 1-1 match with Alaves.
However, the Argentinean cardiologist believes that Sergio will be able to withstand 10-20 minutes at a professional level. To do this, “Kun” needs to undergo another examination and return to physical readiness.
With his last club, Barcelona, Aguero played five matches, scoring one goal. During his career, the Argentine also played for Independiente, Atlético Madrid and Manchester City.
As part of the Citizens, Aguero scored 260 goals and became the top scorer in the club’s history. Together with City, Kun won 15 trophies, including five Premier League titles.
Sergio played 101 matches (41 goals) for the Argentina national team. He has won the 2021 America’s Cup and the 2008 Olympic Games.
