Athletistic/Others. World indoor triple jump champion Yolanda Chen expressed her opinion on Match TV about the International Olympic Committee (IOC), calling it a failed organization from which reasonable decisions should not be expected.

On Friday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected the appeal of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) against the provisional suspension.

– It was predictable. To be honest, I don’t have high expectations from the IOC. They are truly inadequate, convinced of the correctness of their decision and stick to it. The IOC has become a completely useless organization and, in my opinion, it makes no sense to seriously pay attention to its decisions or actions.

— Maybe it’s time to think about going your own way instead of working closely with the IOC?

“After the incident with Valieva, I was completely confused and didn’t understand what was happening. I am outraged that he is banned from participating in the show. What’s the point of stopping him from starring in the show? This is understandable if we are talking about competitions, but what is the show? Maybe it’s time to stop obeying their laws and restrictions. If they don’t follow their own rules, maybe we shouldn’t? Perhaps we should develop our own alternatives. I am very concerned about the recent actions of Western organizations,” Chen commented on Match TV.

  • Chepikov: “The time when all the negativity towards Russia in the IOC will stop will definitely come”
