Figure skater Alexandra Boykova explained why she failed to perform the quadruple element at the show jumping tournament in Moscow.

The Boykova/Dmitry Kozlovsky couple took part in the show jumping tournament which took place in January 2024 in Moscow. According to the results of the pairs competition, they came second and won the team tournament.

— It was not possible to make a quadruple element on the vault. The main difficulty is physical or moral?

— At the show jumping tournament, honestly, the clock was very boring. You need to give a little more time to complete the quadruple element because it requires a lot of concentration. When you skate singles, you do it alone. And when you’re in a relationship, you have to agree. This is not a physical problem, but a moral one. Not on the side that you have to do a quadruple and it’s so difficult, it’s just a stressful situation, and in this one you have to control your emotions.
