Athletistic/ Figure skating. Tatarstan Sports Minister Vladimir Leonov spoke about the construction schedule of the figure skating school of Olympic champion Alina Zagitova.
Construction is expected to begin in summer 2024, the official said.
“Discussions continue almost every week. I hope that we will start implementing the project in 2024. We are building quickly, when we agree on everything, we will countdown to the construction part,” Leonov said at the TASS agency.
Zagitova has not competed since December 2019. Then, on Channel One, the athlete indicated that she was taking a break from her career.
Since February 2022, Russian figure skaters have been suspended from international competitions.
